This annual celebration holds great significance for the Filipino community, as it commemorates the birth of our nation's independence and honors the courage, unity, and spirit of our people. It is not only a day of reflection but also a time for festivity, cultural pride, and community togetherness.
You may notice that this year's celebration is scheduled for June 28, rather than the traditional date of June 12. This adjustment has been made with careful consideration, in order to allow our students — who represent the future of our community — an opportunity to participate fully and enjoy the celebration during their academic break. We believe their presence adds vibrancy and meaning to the occasion. This time we intend not to stop the event at 6 pm, but to go on in the evening with the youngsters.
We are delighted to extend our most cordial invitation to you, your family, and your friends to join us for this memorable event. Expect a festive program rich with cultural performances, music, food, and moments of shared pride and joy. It promises to be a celebration that not only honors our heritage but also strengthens the bonds within our diverse and dynamic community.

Participating in the Philippine Independence celebrations is an exciting way to show your pride and support for the country. One way to do this is by opening a pop up food stall where you can showcase traditional Philippine dishes. It's a great way to give back to the community and to bring together people of all backgrounds to share in the joy of the holiday! With your pop up food stall, you can provide a unique experience for those attending the festivities.
You can reserve a stand for € 100, for which you get a 3x3m place to sell your goods and 50 tombola tickets.
The event will take place in the
Brielpoort
in Deinze
(Lucien Matthyslaan 9,9800 Deinze).
From the station of Deinze, you can reach the Brielpoort after an 12 minutes walk via the Brielpoort pedestrian bridge. It can also be reached by car via the N35/Tweebruggenlaan.
